As part of our effort to bridge the gap between financial services and academia, the SWIFT Institute goes a step further by bringing you three education sessions where you can learn about Payments, Securities Operations and Fintech.  These lunch & learn sessions, held over the lunch break with sandwiches provided, will give you a preview of the following three executive education courses new on offer to the public in 2017:

Fintech: Innovative Banking by Professor Andrei Kirilenko, Imperial College London

The application of digital technologies to create, record, transfer and manage financial value and risk has created the still evolving fintech sector. But how can your business leverage its advances and what will you need to succeed?

Financial Markets: Securities Operations by Keith Dickinson, Financial Markets Training Limited

Financial Markets Securities Operations (FMSO) course is a first level (introductory) course intended for anyone entering into a career in the financial markets. It does not assume any prior study or work experience other than a general knowledge of mathematics. The training course is intended to provide ‘breadth of knowledge’ to make it relevant to people pursuing careers in the middle office and operations areas.

Payments: Certificate in Principles of Payments by Karen Lines, London Institute of Banking and Finance

The influence of innovation and technology on the payments industry has created an influx of entrants to the market, new delivery channels and an increase in competition. In such an environment, people are often the differentiator and knowledge gained through professional education can contribute to the success of a business. This new programme is designed to enhance the skills and understanding of anyone working in the sector including payments specialists, managers and operational, compliance and risk teams.
